Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Strategic Research wants to patricipate in EMA2 projects, lot 9 (Central Asia).

Just few words about KIMEP:

KIMEP is a private, non-profit institution in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Our faculty has the highest concentration of Western-trained PhDs in the CIS, and our academic curricula and research culture are based on Western models. All programs are instructed in English. We have about 5,000 students in bachelor, master, and doctorate programs in Business, Economics, Public Administration, International Relations, Political Sciences, International Journalism & Mass Communication, International Law as well as MATESOL.

Proposals for participation on Program “ERASMUS MUNDUS”:

ACTION 1
KSTU is ready to take part in preparation master courses: Energy saving, Telecommunications, Informatics, Electric power industry, Safety of foodstuff, Technology of foodstuffs, Economics as the second competence for the engineers, Business Studies with Technologies, Design (Graphic Design, Fashion, Textile) and PhD courses: Economics, Informatics, Computer Sciences, Telecommunications, Technology of foodstuffs, Design.

ACTION 2
KSTU is ready to take part in preparation of the applications with fields of study for Lot 9.

1. Modernization of sites of Universities Central Asia for advancement of the European Higher Education.

The Kyrgyz Economical University (Kyrgyzstan) has been participating in EM program since 2007. For two years it was the coordinating HEI among the consortium members throughout Kyrgyzstan. We have a sufficient working experience in realization of EM program, providing mobility of students and the academic personnel (trainees on bachelor, masters, doctors and post-doctors). At the current moment we are getting ready for participation in EM program (Action 2) in 2010, having prepared agreements of 5 Kyrgyzstan HEI:<br/> 1. Djalal-Abad University of Economics and Business<br/> 2. Talas State University<br/> 3. Bishkek Finance and Economics Academy<br/> 4. Kyrgyz Technical University<br/> 5. Naryn State University<br/>

My name is Aitzhan Kulumzhanova, I am a specialist of International office of the Innovative University of Eurasia (Pavlodar, Kazakhstan).

We are applying for Erasmus Mundus 2010 programme under the EMA2 STRAND1 project, lot #9. We have recently found potential partnerships with the universities from Central Asia and currently are in active search for European partners from higher education institutes, NGOs and others for making successful consortia. We are seeking for European coordinator to our project.

The fields of study within the EMA2 STRAND 1, lot№9 are: business and management, economic sciences, law, education and teaching trainings and engineering.

We have already registered in partner search database.

THE BALTIC INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY (BIA) (founded in 1992) is the largest private higher education institute in the Baltic States and Northern Europe. Currently, 8000 students are studying here, including 860 international students from 20 countries. The BIA has impressive premises and well-equipped facilities.

In the course of training the BIA realizes accredited programs and in the year 2000 received a full life-long state accreditation with the right to award diplomas of the state standard.
